Over The Moon for a Tuscany Wedding at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco

After getting engaged, the couple initially planned a grand destination wedding in Lake Como.

However, their dream venue had always been Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany, founded by the Ferragamo family. They hadn’t booked it at first because they wanted to work with The Lake Como Wedding Planner. After canceling two dates in Lake Como, Emily and Brice decided to significantly downsize due to Covid—opening the door for them to finally marry at Castiglion del Bosco. Emily shares, “Even better, we realized our original wedding planners were excited to help us transition to this new location.”

The couple kicked off their wedding weekend with a welcome dinner at the newly opened Borgo Suites, setting the tone for the celebrations ahead.

For the welcome dinner, Emily embraced the idea of a long, family-style table where guests could share pasta, a vision she had cherished since childhood. She made an effortless statement in a vintage Chanel minidress from Happy Isles, styled by Over The Moon’s Anny Choi, who also curated much of her wedding wardrobe. Anny completed the look with vintage lace Manolos from TheRealReal and Jennifer Behr’s Gracie bobby pins. “Anny was incredible—so intuitive and thoughtful. She truly perfected all of my looks for the weekend,” Emily says.

Their ceremony took place amidst the historic castle ruins, dating back to 1100 AD, followed by a stunning reception at Villa Gauggiole.

For the ceremony, Emily chose Reem Acra’s “Open Your Heart” gown, a delicate design featuring a shirt-style bodice and intricate hand embroidery that set it apart from anything she had seen before. She paired the dress with a matching veil, Italian drop diamond earrings from Sarosi by Timeless Gems, and classic Manolo Blahnik mules. Her bridal ensemble also included sentimental touches: a hand-engraved aquamarine and sapphire ring from Sarosi, gifted by her mother as her “something blue,” and a Chinese gold bangle—her “something borrowed”—passed down from her paternal grandmother to her mother on her own wedding day.

Brice, dressed in a Brunello Cucinelli navy tuxedo, paired with a Tom Ford shirt and shoes and a Ralph Lauren bowtie, carried a meaningful heirloom down the aisle—cufflinks that had once belonged to his grandfather, passed down through his father.

Emily walked arm-in-arm with her father down an aisle lined with vibrant gypsophila and lilies, a floral display reminiscent of Dutch master paintings, envisioned by Kiana Underwood of Tulipina Design. Above them, delicate origami cranes fluttered in the breeze—a Japanese tradition symbolizing happiness and eternal luck. Hand-folded by Emily, her mother, and her brother’s girlfriend, the cranes paid homage to a family tradition that began with Emily’s grandmother, who had made 1,000 for her own daughter’s wedding.

After being pronounced husband and wife, the newlyweds made their way back up the aisle to the sound of Beyoncé’s “Love on Top,” played by a string quartet. As they turned to greet their guests, they were met with a sea of teary-eyed loved ones. “Even the burliest of Brice’s groomsmen were crying,” Emily recalls. “It was one of the sweetest sights we will never forget.”

For the reception, the couple envisioned an alfresco dining experience that echoed the elegance of historic Italian villas.

“We took inspiration from old stone floors and timeless color palettes to create a refined yet inviting space,” Emily explains of the greenhouse setting. Overhead, laser-cut wood chandeliers served as sculptural statement pieces, casting warm light over the scene. Tables were adorned with Laboratorio Paravicini’s Bloom plates, their intricate designs anchoring each place setting. Along the tablescape, hand-dyed silk ribbons from Silk & Willow cascaded between lush floral arrangements—a vibrant mix of lilies, ranunculus, dahlias, carnations, delphiniums, gladiolus, garden roses, and tulips—bringing the couple’s vision to life with a painterly flourish.
