Erin Holland and Ben Cutting’s Byron Bay Destination Wedding
Erin opted for three custom J’Aton Couture wedding dresses to wear over the course of a two day celebration to celebrate her marriage to international cricket player Ben Cutting. Planned and produced by Alysia Bridger, guests flew in from all over the country to Australia’s Byron Bay to party with the couple. Photographed by Bayleigh Vedelago.
Erin's Morning
“Keeping true to tradition of ‘something borrowed and something old’, J’Aton designers Jacob Luppino and Anthony Pittorino found an old French lace from a table cloth of more than 100 years old to sew into the dress. A team of Melbourne couturiers worked around the clock to ensure the beading was finished in time for the wedding. The ceremony gown, had a detachable train of at least 2.5 metres.”
Ceremony
“The wedding took place at Elements of Byron’s Heart of the Sea. Groomsmen Usman Khawaja, Jonathan Cutting, Peter Forest and Lee Carseldine were dressed in MJ Bale.”
The Reception
“’In contrast to the first dress, which was all about elegance and classic beauty, the second dress was designed with a very modern aesthetic,” Galella said. “It was more about comfort but still modern, sexy and movable.’
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and free flowing Moet & Chandon champagne overlooking the beach before moving on to the reception nearby. Flowers came courtesy of Kashaya & Co, and the event’s menus also came courtesy of Paper Panāche.”
